It was a quiet September weekend on San Juan Island. I spend four days with two of my favorite people. We traveled around the island picking up local farm ingredients in preparation for a rustic and elegant dinner party for 20 local friends. Chef Wocka, a talented chef from New Zealand, and his stunning wife Stephanie hosted this event. We set up at a private barn house equip with a full kitchen, loft style bedrooms, a fire place, gardens, bocce ball, and a long formal dining table. I just couldn’t get over how beautiful each ingredient was.
